Children at the Settlement Home have the opportunity to participate in on-site creative movement classes. In these classes, students focus on the process of creating and crafting their own movement rather than memorizing pre-set vocabulary and routines. Challenging improvisations, dance concepts and movement studies emphasize creative thinking and self-discovery and encourage children to work both independently and within a group. Students experiment and problem-solve while exploring the elements of space, time and energy.
